We are presenting coffee from all around the world through our roastery.
Currently we are serving a coffee from Mierisch Family on their farms in Nicaragua.
The family has been farming coffee in the high mountain regions of Matagalpa and Jinotega for over 100 years. As a family-run operation, they are focused on producing extremely high quality, shade-grown coffee.
The short version of the story is that in the early 1900's Bruno Mierisch worked with his son Wilfrido on the coffee farms. Then Wilfrido worked with his boys on the coffee farms, and today his boys work with their sons and daughters on the coffee farms.
This coffee has an amazing rich body, a sweet and balanced stone fruit acidity.

Our buzzing markets bring warming, comfort food to The Grounds Gardens with The Grounds house roasted coffee (for a quick, take-away cuppa), a steaming spit roast, freshly-made pastries and donuts with nutella or jam and hearty bacon & egg rolls and burgers from The Grounds BBQ. All delivered with the personable service The Grounds is known for.
The Grounds Winter Markets feature live music, winter fairies with arts & crafts for the kids and baby farm animals (like our famous pig, Kevin Bacon!). Explore the bounty of fresh produce and wholesome products including our local providore Salt Meats Cheese, personalised jewellery, organic skincare, vintage homewares, soy candles and The Grounds jams, hampers and fresh cut flowers.

With the July school holidays just around the corner, The Grounds, in conjunction with Mumsociety, will be hosting our very own school aged program.
Over 3 hours, your child will create a gorgeous piece of art, plant their very own organic seedlings, bend and stretch performing yoga and enjoy morning tea and lunch in The Grounds of Alexandria.
Express drop off and pick up zone will be available as well as a complimentary coffee for parents.
